inform yourself about Allen Carr’s EASYWAY method to stop smoking, talk to your dad about that after you have possibly read the book(u can find it everywere) and make your dad read it. i assure you that is a great book.

Sure, get him to read Allen Carrs Easyway to stop smoking. If he reads it, and finishes it, he will probably quit smoking. Forget nicotine replacement and scary video clips, that won’t help any smoker. Try some good old knowledge. Better yet, you read it first and you will be able to better explain than he can himself what it means to be a smoker. Because right now, you’re just annoying the crap out your dad.

  26. You probably didn’t see it as a sacrifice; When you “give up” smoking, it’s hard. When you rightly understand that there is nothing to “give up”, and only things to gain, then quitting smoking isn’t hard for anyone. Even long-term chain-smokers would find it easy to quit as long as they obtain the right mental attitude.
People should stop trying to “give up” smoking and start to “get out” of smoking. Seen?

  28. @luigiK1 yeah maybe your right i mean 3 years is long but not that long and yeah your right about the “drive” thing

  29. luigiK1 on Tue, 1st Jun 2010 6:37 am
  30. three years is a long time but not that long and i think some people have less “drive” than others naturally

  32. I don’t know why for people its hard to quit smoking i mean i smoked for 3 years i think and then one day i just said “i quit”and i did i didn’t have any problem with it but maybe its just me.

  40. yes, that’s true. but if you really try to listen what he says, sooner or later you’ll understand how all of us have been fooled to believe that we like and need cigarretes. It’s not like that- only your brainwashed mind telling you so. Once you truly understand that- you’ll never want to smoke again. i think Carr’s book is the best way- it helped me and 4-5 of my close friends. I hope it can help you too. all the best!:)

  49. GetDamage on Tue, 1st Jun 2010 11:22 am
  50. @GetDamage Now, I don’t think about it anymore. It feels good knowing that you are in control of yourself. A lot of people get discourage when they relapse, and give up. I suggest staying positive. Just keep at it and you will eventually succeed. It only get easier each time you try. Once you get past three months, it gets a lot easier. And it’s okay to relapse a few times. That is normal. Good luck bro!

  51. GetDamage on Tue, 1st Jun 2010 11:50 am
  52. @Jehangt3 I think it’s a good idea to take up a sport or a hobby like martial arts. It will definitely shape up your mind and health. try kyokushin karate. I have a lot of friends who smokes. I am the only one who successfully stopped. All my buddies are okay with it after awhile. Most of them had tried to quit at sometime or another. It took many tries, at least 20 times. It just get easier and easier each time you try to quit.

  62. after I stopped smoking my life improved because:

    1. I am actually happy when I think about smoking, because I stopped.
    2. My mouth smells better.
    3. When I workout or run I do not caught out stuff 5 minutes after.
    4. My stamina and performance improved by about 600% (also due to training but it would be impossible before because I always got sick or caughed out stuff).
    5. I don’t smell like cigarettes.
    6. I actually smell things now :)
    7. I save at least 50 Euro monthly.
